After much thought and discussion, our intentions are to resume to five days of face-to-face instruction for K-12 starting Monday, May 17th and continuing through the remainder of the school year. We feel it is important to end this year with a sense of normalcy, to provide as much in person instruction as possible, and to prepare for five days of face-to-face instruction in the fall. It is because of our continued safety protocols and mitigation strategies that we are able to move in this direction. Thank you for doing your part in keeping your children safe and supported during these challenging times.
In order to provide maximum flexibility with minimal disruption (in case we would have to scale down in the future), we will implement an early release schedule on Wednesday, May 19th, May 26th, and June 9th. Due to a shortened week for Memorial Day, June 2nd will not be an early release Wednesday.
Your building Principal will follow up with you regarding the time for your building’s early release. Thank you for everything you have done during these unprecedented times in supporting your children’s school. We know this has been a difficult year for our students, our families, and our staff. Thank you for being flexible, supporting your child’s learning at home, and working with us as we remain committed to keeping kids first.
Skyward Family/Student Access coupled with Message Center has always been an incredibly useful combination, but during recent moves to partial, and in many cases full on-line teaching, it can be a game changer. Communication between educators and parents has become even more important during the pandemic, so now is a great time to achieve maximum utilization of these tools.
And if you haven't registered for Skyward Family Access yet, visit this page for more information.
We are currently enrolling all new K-12 students at the Coldwater Community Schools Administrative Service Center, 401 Sauk River Drive (next to OmniSource and Penske Logistics). For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 517-279-5910. You may also stop in Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (except for holidays and special summer hours as posted).
NOTE: For the safety of staff and visitors, all visitors will be required to wear facial protection when they visit. We also ask that only one adult or student enters the building at a time. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
