NO SCHOOL Friday, Oct. 18
No school for students, teachers will be attending Professional Development activities.
Thank you to all the parents that took the time to come in to meet with their child’s teacher for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Together, you and your child’s teachers can make a difference in your child's learning!
Also, we would like to thank the volunteers that ran both the book fair and the Elementary Booster fundraiser, and to all the families and staff members that supported both of these activities. We sincerely appreciate your support!
Fall Fundraiser Delivery
Fall Fundraiser items were delivered and distributed at Parent-Teacher Conferences this week. If you were unable to pick up your items, please make arrangements with your teacher to pick up your items as soon as possible.
Music Notes from Mrs. Bernard
The care and cleaning of recorders:
To keep germs and mold at bay, your child's recorder should be cleaned about once a month. I do not recommend using the cleaning rod and cloth that may have come with the instrument. The cloths frequently come loose and get stuck inside the recorder, where they are difficult, and sometimes impossible, to remove. I find it is much easier to clean my recorders in the kitchen sink! Simply fill the sink with warm water and some dish soap, then submerge the recorder and swish it around. Wipe the mouthpiece with a soft cloth, rinse, and lay flat to dry overnight. That's it!
Coldwater Community Schools 2019-2020 Parent Survey
If you have children in any of our district buildings, please take some time to complete a parent survey. You can access the survey on our district website at www.coldwaterschools.org before Friday, October 25. The parent survey link will be posted on the district website under the district headline.
If you have children in more than one building, please complete a survey for each school. Thank you for providing us feedback!
First marking period ended today, October 17 and report cards will be sent home next week in Friday Folders on Friday, October 25.
Halloween Classroom Parties
All classroom Halloween Parties will be on Thursday, October 31 from 2:30-3:25 PM.
Please do not send your child to school in his/her costume or make-up; they will have time to change before the party.
As a general reminder, children's costumes should not depict blood, gore, weapons, or horror. Specific questions about costumes should be directed to Mr. Dancer. Thank you.
For details on your child's party, please contact his/her teacher.
