    McTeacher Night

McTeacher Night is coming to Max Larsen! This is a fundraising opportunity for our school that involves nothing more than having dinner at our local McDonald's with members of our Larsen staff! Our McTeacher Night will be held on Monday, March 30th from 4:30-7 PM. During that time frame, our school gets 20% of all INSIDE sales. Our students' artwork will be on display, and our staff will be serving food, cleaning tables, and greeting families! It is always a fun-filled evening! Hope to see you there!

    Teacher Requests

Parent teacher request forms for the 2020-2021 school year will be available in the office from March 6 to March 27. Parents must pick up forms in the office and absolutely no requests will be accepted after the 27th. We believe strongly in involving parents in the education of their child, and are happy to accept requests. However, please know that teacher requests are not a guarantee your child will be placed in a certain room. Creating balanced classes that allow all children to learn is our priority. Also, please know that staffing (teacher teaching a certain grade level) can change before school begins in the fall.

    Reading Month

March is a fun filled month of reading and activities for our students. We will have our book fair, dress up days, an assembly, and more. Please check your child's Friday Folder for more information.

    School Meals

Breakfast is free to all Max Larsen students. Menus can be found on the school website by following the prompts or you can download the app. Checks, made payable to Coldwater Lunch Fund or cash are accepted.

    Mood Boost

Mood Boost is here! ALERT is important for memory, awareness, and learning.

The week of March 9th-13th, you learn about the need to be alert, not sleepy, in order to learn at school! You may feel more alert if you eat foods like kidney and black beans; proteins like beef, turkey, and chicken; whole grains such as barley, brown rice and wild rice; dark green, red, and yellow veggies; and fruits like apricots, melons, and pineapple. This week's menu features fresh carrots, apple salad, Cinnamon Roasted Butternut Squash, Orange Glazed Carrots, and Watermelon.

    Lost and Found

We will be donating all items over spring break. Please have your child take a look through our lost and found or stop in and look at your convenience. Thank you.

    Extra Clothes

We ask that parents send an extra pair of clothes in their child's backpack in the event of an accident. Bathroom accidents and/or spills happen at this age and unfortunately, we do not always have clothes on hand.

    Dismissal Procedures

If you arrive in a vehicle, we are requiring that you participate in our curbside dismissal procedure. Please DO NOT leave end-of-day transportation changes on the school answering machine, as we do not check messages until after the school day has ended. Please make sure all changes are made before 3 PM Monday through Thursday and 2 PM on Friday.
