October 2018 Report
Max Larsen families were invited to attend our annual Title I "Wonder Night" on Thursday, October 4, from 6:30-7:30 PM to inform parents about our classroom curriculum, student assessment data & student academic/behavior expectations.
Students watched videos on the big screen in the cafeteria while parents visited their student's classroom(s). Teachers reviewed a PowToon (animated slideshow) developed by Title I teachers Lisa Renshaw and Denise Sawyer, while adding their own classroom information, to ensure all parents received the necessary information regarding our Title I programming.
Upon completion of classroom presentations, parents were directed to the gymnasium where they were asked to complete a short, electronic parent survey (via iPads) regarding their Wonder Night experience, then entered to win one of five $20 gift cards. The survey data will allow us to make improvements on future events & received very high marks regarding program time, information shared, etc., including several positive comments!
Max Larsen students and staff enjoyed participating in dress-up days during CHS Homecoming week to provide school spirit throughout the district. The week's themes included Mismatch Monday, Tie-Dye Tuesday, Walt Disney Wednesday, Throwback Thursday & CHS Fan Friday. The CCS Administrative Team also joined in the spirit by participating in the Homecoming Parade!
Yours in education,
