To The Parents/Guardians of Coldwater Community Schools Elementary Students:
In order to get ready for the upcoming year, we will be having a Transportation Open House for all elementary families on Monday, August 12, from 10 AM-12 PM and 5-7 PM. The event will be held at Lakeland Elementary School, 235 Western Avenue. This fun event will help our transportation department and buildings gather necessary information prior to the school year. Please plan to attend even if you are not using CCS transportation, as you can get registered for curbside service pick-up for the 2024-25 school year. At the open house, you will learn your child's bus number and bus stop location.
Coldwater Community Schools will continue to use ZONAR for transportation, which includes GPS location devices and ZPass, which is a way to keep track of the students who ride on Coldwater Community Schools buses. This will help our transportation department keep attendance of those students each day, making our buses even safer for our kids!
Your child will receive their ZPass. It is required to ride Coldwater Community Schools transportation to and from school. A student will not be allowed to ride after 3 consecutive days without a ZPass. Parents, please help ensure this ZPass card stays securely fastened to their backpack. Each day, please encourage your son or daughter to follow the bus rules, and to scan their card as they are getting on and off the school bus. The first ZPass will be provided; a $5 fee will be incurred for each replacement card during the school year.
If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 517-279-5950.
Sincerely,
Holli Muckel, CCS Transportation Director
